What Makes Natursutten so Different?
Natursutten is made from pure natural rubber sourced from the Hevea brasiliensis tree. During the production process, the protein that can provoke a latex allergy is completely removed. This means that you can rest easy knowing that your baby is safe from any potential allergic reactions.
The Benefits of Natural Rubber
Choosing a pacifier made from 100% natural rubber offers a range of benefits for your baby. Natural rubber is soft and flexible, providing a comfortable and soothing experience for your little one. How to Choose your Natursutten Pacifier
Natursutten offers a choice of shield shapes, nipple shapes, and sizes for your baby’s pacifier.
The choice between Rounded or Orthodontic nipple is based on baby’s preference and is difficult to predict. While some babies readily accept both nipple shapes, others can be quite particular and may need to try both designs to determine which one suits them best.
Both nipple shapes are available with Original and Butterfly shields and in sizes S (0-6 months), M (6-12 months) and L (12 months and above). The age ranges are guides only. Some babies prefer a larger and some a smaller nipple.

Planting
To kick off the rubber production process, farmers plant seeds that grow for between 12-18 months. Once they are suitable for grafting, the seeds are removed from their nursery environment and planted on a plantation. While the bud grows quickly, the tree must be left to mature for between 6-7 years.
Tapping
Harvesters shave off a bit of bark, then notch a line in the revealed bark to a depth of about 1/3” deep. The milky white liquid, latex, drips from the cut vessels and flows down the barkless patch, where it is collected in a cup mounted to the tree. This tapping continues on alternating days, with each tree being tapped for about 6 years.
Processing
Once the latex is collected, it is processed to remove impurities and water content. The latex is mixed with acid to coagulate the rubber particles, which are then rolled into sheets. These sheets are dried and smoked to prevent them from sticking together. The final step involves cutting the rubber sheets into smaller pieces, ready for market distribution.
Malaysian Rubber Board
In Malaysia, rubber plantations are exclusively government-owned and managed under the oversight of the Malaysian Rubber Board. Natursutten contributes a portion of its expenditure on natural rubber sap to foster and promote sustainability within the industry. These funds are allocated towards initiatives such as rubber tree replantation and research and development endeavours, all aimed at securing a sustainable future for Malaysia's rubber plantations.
